Kory got her start in Human Resources, working for Service Canada (formerly Human Resources Development Canada) while in university.  Before moving into more traditional HR, Kory worked in staffing and recruitment for 10 years, supporting diverse industry clients with the full recruitment life- cycle.  Kory has a strong operational background and is well-versed in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Kory MartinKory has over 20 years of experience, having managed all facets of human resources and people programs.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo, completed the Executive Labour Relations Program at Queen’s University and is a Certified Coach Practitioner.

Kory got her start in Human Resources, working for Service Canada (formerly Human Resources Development Canada) while in university.  Before moving into more traditional HR, Kory worked in staffing and recruitment for 10 years, supporting diverse industry clients with the full recruitment life- cycle.  Kory has a strong operational background and is well-versed in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

With a strong collaborative and analytical approach Jen has proven success in identifying cost-saving opportunities for various clients by recommending and implementing process improvements, legislative compliance, and effective management of complex injury claims and appeals. Jen has extensive understanding of relevant legislation and is recognized for her excellent research and writing skills.

Prior to becoming a consultant Jen worked in manufacturing with experience managing all aspects of the HR function including Health & Safety, employee relations, legislative compliance, full cycle recruitment and performance management.

Jen is a graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Business Administration minor. Jen also obtained her Human Resources Management Certificate from Conestoga College, and is currently pursuing a Payroll Administration Certificate.  Jen also obtained her CHRL designation and is a member in good standing of the Grand Valley chapter of the HRPA.

Outside of work, Jen is the mom to 2 active teenagers, Alek and Samantha, spending many hours at the ice rink either watching hockey or figure skating. Jen is committed to volunteering in the community and was a member of the HR Committee for Fiddlesticks Neighborhood Association for 3 years, and has since been a board member for the Preston Figure Skating Club with recently being elected as the President.

Her experience includes human resources management, conflict resolution, financial leadership, staff supervision, budget management, event planning and management, grant writing, and evaluation.

Over the past 4 years Leisa has worked exclusively in disability management.  She has a proven successful team-first, analytical approach. By focusing on identifying cost-savings opportunities for clients and effective management of complex injury claims and ensuring legislative compliance, she has become expert in this critical area of human resources work.

She holds a Business Administration diploma, with a major in Accounting from Fleming College in Peterborough. A life-long learner, Leisa has also earned certificates in Human Services Management, Senior Leadership for Not for Profits, and a diploma in Culinary Management.  Leisa is currently working towards obtaining her Human Resource Management Certificate from Conestoga College.
